Anna Claire P.

Anna Claire is a senior at Tuscaloosa Academy. Anna Claire is co-captain of the varsity cheer team at her school, and she is a part of several clubs and extracurriculars. Some of these include Key Club serving currently as Webmaster, History Club, Girls Who Code, French Club, Younglife, Civinettes, Yearbook Staff, and Tuscaloosa Academy Ambassadors. Anna Claire is also a member of the National Beta Club, National French Honor Society, National Computer Science Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society. Anna Claire competed in National History Day at Auburn University in Montgomery. National History Day is when over twenty schools in Alabama come together and compete in several different aspects over one central theme in history. Anna Claire's team won first place in the state and was sent to compete at the national level in Washington D.C. In cheerleading, She has been awarded UCA All-American at UCA Cheer Camp 8 years in a row. Also, Anna Claire has received the "Pin it Forward" award for her kindness, leadership skills, and dedication throughout the camp process. Anna Claire has competed in several computer competitions throughout high school, including IMC3. IMC3 is a very creative and fun competition that collaborates multiple aspects of computer science and helps young students experience all the different possibilities. Throughout high school, she has racked up over 330 service hours and greatly enjoys giving back to her community. She also has taken several AP classes throughout her high school career, including AP US History, AP Computer Science Principles, AP Calculus AB, and AP Government. In the future, Anna Claire plans on attending the University of Alabama on a Pre-Med track with a minor in business. She is greatly interested in becoming a plastic surgeon or a dermatologist. Anna Claire is fascinated with the idea of using innovative, modern-day technology in order to help the lives of others.
